A Very Busy Time at RIA

We have finally reached our last day of Midterm exams.  We have had some bad luck with the weather and that has pushed exams forward.  We also had a very productive and valuable teacher in-service on Inclusive education on Tuesday.  We are a phase 6 school and are looking at all the good things we have already been doing in this area, as well as collaborating to find better ways to facilitate teaching and learning in our building.  RIA was very pleased to have visits from Regional office Personnel, Dan O’Brian, Sue Howell, and Colleen Abbott, and we had an informative visit from Christine Kennedy who is facilitating our transition into Inclusive Education.  It was a great day of Professional Development that will help us better our school community!

Our Last Midterms will be written today and all students in the high school will be back to regular classes and routines tomorrow.  Midterm Exam results will be posted in Power school once all exams have been completed and evaluated.  We thank you for your patience!

We would like to wish our Table Tennis team good luck as they travel to Heritage Collegiate today to compete in the SSNL Regional tournament.  We also have three teams traveling this weekend as our Junior Boys and Girls Volleyball teams are traveling to St. John’s to compete in the NLVA Provincials.  Our Senior Boys basketball team is set to kick off its 2015 season with an invitational tournament in Marsytown; it is an eight team tournament and should be a great weekend of Basketball.  Look for updates on twitter!  GO CRUSADERS!!!
