On Friday, 60 students from grades 7-12 traveled to Trinity to take in Rising Tide Theater’s production of ‘Saltwater Moon‘. It was a fantastic show that allowed our students to travel back in time to a different period in Newfoundland’s past. The show had some laughs, some tears, a bit of romance, and a lot of history, We would like to thank Rising Tide and the town of Trinity for being such great hosts. Our students got to see a great play and spend a few hours sightseeing in a historical community with that has such great atmosphere. It was a great place to visit and a great way to cover outcomes in Senior English/Intermediate ELA, NL Studies, Grade 7/8 social Studies, and Canadian History. Our students received many compliments on how great they were on this trip – thank you all for being great ambassadors for RIA! We would also like to thank Mr. Cook for Organizing this trip and Mrs. Kim Hansford for her services in getting us there.
